This week in AP Lit we focused on working on the video aspect of our This I Believe project. With the video creation I have learned how to incorporate music that fits with the message, and tone that I want my audience to feel. For my music I chose Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven because it was soft, and fit the feeling of discovery that I was aiming for. When choosing my music I kept in mind that I wanted something that wouldn't over power my voice, and I felt classical music with no lyrics would be the best fit. I have also learned through this process how to make a presentation connect more with my audience, and how I can do that using voice, art, and music. The use of voice I found to be more difficult, but I feel like it was partially due to the fact that we focused on that aspect of it after I had already recorded my voice.
In terms of writing I now find it easier to write in a more conversational tone because I have had more practice with it. At first I found it quite difficult, but then as I wrote it became easier because I often asked myself "Do I actually talk like that" and if the answer was no I changed it. I would recommend this project to anybody who wants to improve their technological skills, and to improve their ability to write in a conversational style tone.
