This week we worked on our What is Literature project every day. I found the explanation you gave us about the process for the project to be very helpful, and I feel that I like many people jumped in to quickly and started before they knew what to do. With my elements of fiction being symbolism and fantasy I have found the project to be very interesting. I interpreted the Tell Tale Heart to be that the eye is a symbol of what the narrator doesn't want to accept about himself. While the beating heart represents the human side of the narrator, and his guilt about killing the old man. My favorite types of books are allegories because you can interpret them in a variety of ways.
My creative writing turned out really well I was able to wrap up a chapter or a half a chapter, but I want to continue it because I want to finish the story. I have found it much easier to write in this class than my previous English classes because our creative writing had to be shared with our classmates, and sometimes I write things that are more emotional, and I find that most people don't understand the deeper message I am trying to say. I gave my creative writing piece the name One Man's Last Story because it is Boris's last wish for others to hear his lives story so that they may understand the horrors that took place under Stalin.
