This week we worked on our Shakespeare projects, and I found it was a lot easier to write the paper in our group because we all contributed our own ideas. Our group was very good at synthesis because we bounced ideas off of each other, and we all looked for quotes from our outside sources instead of just one person. I found the paper to be the most interesting part because we were able to present more of those broad ideas compared to our presentation. In our paper we were able to look at both Cordelia and Edmund and how each character connects to our theory.
While working on our presentation I learned that you can incorporate humor into your presentation, and it not distract from the information you are presenting. I was glad that we incorporated humor because it helps limit the amount of text we had on our slides. In our presentation we focused on Edmund because we found there was more to talk about than Cordelia. Through this project I have learned that often your theory can cover multiple ideas. For example, in feminist theory it also covers how each gender is portrayed. With this project I have also learned how to easily connect lyrics in music to a event or scene in our books, and I found it was rather easy to find a song that fit with the mood of the scene as well. Overall, I noticed the fact that I feel better about this project compared to the What is Lit project.
